Life of Turner: A thousand splendid plays

Life of Turner: A thousand splendid plays

No high score in the lid.  Well, at least you have a reader at 4am.  That's something.  I will comment that it was 51-34.  Ah-burn.  Best part of the Regina leg my friend. Miss ya already.

A new beginning - and the close of an old chapter

For those of you who are not aware, I am going to be attending Wycliffe Seminary in Fall to close what I would consider the single largest regret in my life: Finishing my Master's of Divinity.

That said, I've asked God to somehow help Starla and I through this difficult time of being a student and balancing on one income, which claims in no way to be a simple task. Someone said to me there are very few things you know that you know that you know. This past week during my Theology Mission and Method intensive course, I've found out that:

1. I am capable of achieving my goal despite being rusty;
2. I haven't had a peace about anything quite like this in a long long time;
3. I haven't had God answer my prayer of 'Is this right for me' as strongly as he has for my future studies as he has this past week;
4. He's shown this through the unthinkable task of paying for my first course in a way that is both unexpected, undeserved, and to the person (you know who you are) who showed me a bit of what it is to heed a difficult discernment in fulfilling that imperitave he has placed upon your heart; and
5. God is faithful and I have friends and family to prove it through praying and supporting me in this decision; therefore
1) I have decided to try to request the help of my friends and family in this journey. In doing so, I have made a program I call 'DONATIONS FOR DIVINITY'; which
1. Will allow my friends and family from across Canada to donate without too much difficulty or wasted personal time
2. Is in a small denomination (one dollar a week or month, or for those of you who are like me but still wish to support in a little way they can, 50 cents a month)
3. Will go directly to helping me fulfill God's pressing on my life and allow you to take part in a ministry that will ultimatly help all those I touch in my ministry both at Wycliffe and afterwards.

First and foremost, however, I wish to request your prayers. I would also like to request to consier greatly how you can best honor God in allowing space in your budget for a small commitment like this. If you cannot in any way make it work, I expect you to email me so I know to keep you in my prayers for this regard. Thank you for reading this, and If you are able to help in any way, it is greatly appreciated. Below you will see the 'DONATIONS FOR DIVINITY' paypal button, which will take you through the rest of the process.

The payment option is secure, and is easily cancelled at any time by emailing me. Also do note that the second I am done school I will remove the subscriptions. Further, do note that there is no extra charge to you beyond the amount you agree (ie no service fees etc, what you see is what you donate)

Thank you all for your time, prayers, and support as Starla and I proceed through this formative time.

In his care,
-Andrew Klinger

An end of a season

It has been brought to my attention that because my blog doesn't appeal to the demograph my job is directed towards, that my efforts are best spent elsewhere.

So sadly this will be the last post of this blog until I find time to do it and get internet at home.

Sorry everyone :(

Judges 6 - Consider a podcast?

I've been toying with doing a podcast, seeing as how the video is a medium that may not be necessary given the information I'm using, and the fact that video doesn't help the content at all. Thoughts?

Here's Judges 6 part 1.

Commenting

For those of you who are interested or have any questions, please post in the 'comment' section below the video blog you're interested in and I'll read the comment, publish it to the site, and we can discuss it!

If you even want to just make it known that you're watching the blog, please do!

Introduction

I'm sure as time goes on I'll be a bit more proficient at this - so if things are a bit rusty, it's because I've never done a video blog before, so please excercise 2 Peter 1:2 in sharing the grace you have been given with me.

The first post of a new season

Ecclesiastes 3 states there is a time and place for everything under the sun. That being said, I realise that I lack the evening resources to run my own small group outside of youth group. Therefore, I thought it necessary for those people who are unable to attend our church's small groups to have at least some thought provoking biblical insight on a book of the bible. Since I enjoy history a fair bit, I decided to do my first 21 part series on the book of Judges.

So tune in starting the 2nd week in September for the first part of the series. Hopefully we can have some fun with this, and learn a bit on the way.
